Alexandra Sikorskaya

Alexandra Sikorskaya was born in Norilsk, in the far north of Siberia, into a family of musicians. At the age of five she received her first piano lessons at the Norilsk Art School with her parents, both also pianists.

At the age of fifteen, Alexandra moved to Moscow, where she began her studies at the F. Chopin State School of Music in the class of Prof. Daniil Kopylov in 2006.

In June 2015 she graduated from the Moscow State P.I. Tchaikovsky Conservatory with Prof. Daniil Kopylov.

Since September 2015 Alexandra lives in Switzerland, where she began her Master in Music Performance in the class of Prof. Konstantin Lifschitz at the Lucerne School of Music.

The talented pianist has won several prizes at international competitions, including the 3rd prize of the Rahn Music Prize 2016, and has performed extensively in Norway, Slovenia, Austria, Italy, Russia and Switzerland, where she has performed at renowned festivals such as the Lucerne Festival and in concert halls such as the Tonhalle Zurich.

Application

The board of trustees of the Rahn Kulturfonds meets twice a year and will consider all fully completed applications received.

Rahn Kulturfonds supports requests regarding a contribution to the performance fees if:

  • it is a project with or by Rahn Kulturfonds prize winners.
  • it is a project with Rahn Kulturfonds scholarship holders.

Rahn Kulturfonds supports its prize winners and scholarship holders during four years after receiving the award.
