Amelia Mirella Maszonska

Amelia Maszonska was born in Poland in 1993 and began playing the violin at the age of six. From 2008 Amelia studied at the Henryk Wieniawski Secondary Music School in Poznan under Jadwiga Kaliszewska. She graduated from the Ignacy Jan Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznan under Bartosz Bryla and Jaroslaw Nadrzyck. Currently the violinist is perfecting her skills in the Master Specialized in Music Performance at the University of Arts in Bern under Monika Urbaniak-Lisik.

Amelia Maszonska attended master classes with Zakhar Bron, Pavel Vernikov, Bartlomiej Nicol, Oleg Kaskiv, Frantisek Novotny and Xiaoming Wang, among others. She appears as a soloist with orchestras such as the Brno Philharmonic and the Gyor Symphony Orchestra and performs as a chamber musician with the Affetto Piano Trio in Europe.

The young violinist is a prizewinner of national and international competitions. In 2017, she was awarded the prestigious medal for young art by the Poznan daily newspaper “Glos Wielkopolski”.

Application

The board of trustees of the Rahn Kulturfonds meets twice a year and will consider all fully completed applications received.

The Rahn Kulturfonds supports requests regarding a contribution to the performance fees if:

  • it is a project with or by Rahn Kulturfonds prize winners.
  • it is a project with Rahn Kulturfonds scholarship holders.

The Rahn Kulturfonds supports its prize winners and scholarship holders during four years after receiving the award.

For the meeting on April 28, 2020, please hand in your complete application no later than April 5, 2020 by email or by filling out the following form.
