Francesco Stefanelli began studying the cello at the age of seven at the San Marino Music Institute. In 2015 he graduated with distinction from the Institute of Higher Education “Lettimi” in Rimini.
At the age of 12, Francesco completed a course with Prof. Antonio Meneses at the Accademia Chigiana in Siena. Since 2013 he participates annually in the Masterclass of Prof. Thomas Demenga in Turin. Further Masterclasses with Marianne Chen, Ivan Monighetti and Massimo Polidori followed.
Francesco has won prizes at various international music competitions and various scholarships. In 2016 he represented the Republic of San Marino at the Eurovision Young Musicians Contest. In the same year he completed the Master of Arts in Music Performance under Prof. Enrico Dindo at the Lugano Conservatory.
The board of trustees of the Rahn Kulturfonds meets twice a year and will consider all fully completed applications received.

The Rahn Kulturfonds supports requests regarding a contribution to the performance fees if:
- it is a project with or by Rahn Kulturfonds prize winners.
- it is a project with Rahn Kulturfonds scholarship holders.
The Rahn Kulturfonds supports its prize winners and scholarship holders during four years after receiving the award.
