Irenè Fiorito
Born in Rome in 2000, Irenè graduated from the Santa Cecilia Conservatory with the highest degree cum laude and honours at the age of fifteen.
She obtained her Master of Arts in Music Performance in 2020 and her Master of Arts in Specialized Music Performance for soloists in 2022, both at the Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana in Lugano in the class of Pavel Berman, with whom she had been studying since 2015. She is currently attending the Master of Advanced Studies at the Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana and the “Zertifikat Meisterklasse” at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Munich in the class of Lena Neudauer. Irenè is also attending the annual chamber music masterclass at the Perosi Academy in Biella with her piano trio Kobalt, in the class of Trio di Parma.
Despite her young age the violinist has been a student at the advanced higher musical courses given by Salvatore Accardo at the Stauffer Academy of Cremona since 2014. In 2015 and 2016 she was awarded the diploma of merit at the Chigiana Academy of Siena as a part of the advanced higher course. She has also been awarded a scholarship for the best student of Salvatore Accardo’s class and received further scholarships from the Orchestra da Camera Italiana (OCI), Rotary Club of Teramo and Naples, Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana and Zonta Club of Genoa as well as Rahn Kulturfonds at the audition in 2022. She has been selected to participate in prestigious masterclasses in Italy and abroad, including those at the Kronberg Academy in Germany and the Shanghai Conservatory of Music.
The young violinist has been awarded a large number of international and national prizes such as the IV International Violin Competition Marie Cantagrill of S. Lizier, France, the XXVI International Violin Competition Postacchini in Fermo, Italy and the 38th International Violin Competition Rodolfo Lipizer Prize.
As a soloist and in duo with piano, Irenè has performed in numerous concerts, including those at the Łańcut Castle in Poland, the Accademia Chigiana in Siena, the Auditorium Augustinianum in Rome, the International Music Festival in Portogruaro, the Rassegna di Concerti a Palazzo S. Teodoro in Naples, the Accademia Filarmonica Romana, the Wiener Hall of the Mozarteum in Salzburg, the Teatro Marrucino in Chieti, the Sala del Ridotto of the Teatro Verdi in Trieste, the Cappella Paolina of the Palazzo del Quirinale in Rome (live on RaiRadio3), the Palazzo Ducale in Genoa and the LAC in Lugano. She has also performed in numerous concerts in various chamber and orchestral formations in Italy and abroad. Since 2017 she is a member of the Orchestra da Camera Italiana conducted by Salvatore Accardo and since 2021 she regularly collaborated with the Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana.
As a soloist she performed with the Ariege Orchestra in Saint Girons in France, with the Orchestra dei Castelli Romani, with the Youth Rotary Chamber Orchestra, with the ensemble I Baroccoli from Zurich in Switzerland and Italy, with the Ensemble ‘700 Napoletano, with the Kaunas City Symphony Orchestra in Kaunas in Lithuania, with the Orchestra The Angels in London, with the Orchestra Filarmonica Italiana in Verona, with the Orchestra da Camera Sinfonietta Gigli in Recanati, with the Ensamble 900 in Lugano, the Orchestra Apogeo in Mantua and the Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana in Lugano.
Irenè Fiorito plays on the J. Ceruti violin, Cremona 1848, lent to her by the ProCanale Foundation of Milan.

The board of trustees of the Rahn Kulturfonds meets twice a year and will consider all fully completed applications received.

Rahn Kulturfonds supports requests regarding a contribution to the performance fees if:
- it is a project with or by Rahn Kulturfonds prize winners.
- it is a project with Rahn Kulturfonds scholarship holders.
Rahn Kulturfonds supports its prize winners and scholarship holders during four years after receiving the award.
