Irene Sanz Centeno

Irene Sanz Centeno was born in Spain in 1992 and took double bass lessons with José Vicente Fernandez in Segovia. She studied at the Conservatorio Superior de Música in Aragón under Javier Sapigna and Hector Sapigna, where she graduated with honors bachelor. In 2017, Irene completed her master’s degree at the Haute Ecole de Musique in Geneva under Prof. Mirella Vedeva.

During her studies, Irene got the chance to participate in various masterclasses. with Alberto Bocini, Enrico Fagone, Mihai Ichim and Gabriele Ragghianti. This was followed by appearances with various orchestras such as the Joven Orquesta National de España (JONDE). The Orchester de la Suisse Romande (OSR), the Orchester de Chambre de Genève and the Orchester du Thèatre Biel-Solothurn (TOBS) regularly engage the double bass player.

Application

The board of trustees of the Rahn Kulturfonds meets twice a year and will consider all fully completed applications received.

The Rahn Kulturfonds supports requests regarding a contribution to the performance fees if:

  • it is a project with or by Rahn Kulturfonds prize winners.
  • it is a project with Rahn Kulturfonds scholarship holders.

The Rahn Kulturfonds supports its prize winners and scholarship holders during four years after receiving the award.
