Isa-Sophie Zünd is a Liechtenstein-Swiss citizen and, after completing her music high school studies in Feldkirch, she completed the “basic artistic studies” at the Vorarlberg State Conservatory. She is currently studying in the final year of the Bachelor’s programme with Claudio Martínez Mehner at the Hochschule für Musik in Basel.
At the Swiss Youth Music Competition “Musik der Jugend”, Isa-Sophie Zünd won first prizes several times at federal level. At the Austrian competition “Prima la Musica” in 2018, she won the Vorarlberg state prize in the solo piano category with the highest score of all soloists and subsequently the title of “Austrian national winner” in solo piano. She is also a prize-winner of the “Soloist Competition 2019” of the Vorarlberg State Conservatory and has been heard live on the radio several times, for example as part of the series “Talente im Funkhaus” (ORF).
The young pianist regularly takes part in master classes in Hungary, Austria, Spain and Switzerland. She receives chamber music lessons from Anton Kernjak and Sergio Azzolini as well as complementary impulses from the Swiss pianist Oliver Schnyder.
Isa-Sophie Zünd plays in various chamber music formations and performs as a soloist with various orchestras. Her concert activities have taken her to Liechtenstein, Switzerland, Austria, Germany and Hungary.
The artist is supported by the Liechtenstein Cultural Foundation, the Stadler-Trier Music Foundation and the Zaczkowski Foundation, among others. She is also a scholarship holder of the Rahn Kulturfonds and the International Music Academy in Liechtenstein.
Since autumn 2021, she has been involved in the activities of the Hamburg cultural and educational project ” TONALi” and is looking for ways to make classical music accessible to a wider audience.
The board of trustees of the Rahn Kulturfonds meets twice a year and will consider all fully completed applications received.

Rahn Kulturfonds supports requests regarding a contribution to the performance fees if:
- it is a project with or by Rahn Kulturfonds prize winners.
- it is a project with Rahn Kulturfonds scholarship holders.
Rahn Kulturfonds supports its prize winners and scholarship holders during four years after receiving the award.
