The pianist Larisa Baghdasaryan was born in Yerevan (Armenia). She discovered her passion for playing the piano at an early age and started taking piano lessons at the age of four. When she was 10 years old, she already had her first concert with orchestra. After the music schools Sayat-Nova and Tchaikovsky, she attended the class of Prof. Roza Tandilyan in Yerevan at the After Komitas State Conservatory, where she also completed her Bachelor’s degree.
From 2014 – 2016 she completed her master’s degree at the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK) in the class of Prof. Karl-Andreas Kolly and is currently studying Master Music Pedagogy with Prof. Kolly at the ZHdK.
Larisa Baghdasaryan has participated in various master classes and has won prizes in national and international competitions, e.g. the Young Pianist Competition in Armenia.
Larisa Baghdasaryan has performed in renowned concert halls such as the Tonhalle Zurich, the Vienna Konzerthaus, the Gasteig Philharmonie, the Clara Schumann Saal, “La Prairié” Bellmund or the Aram Khachaturjan big concert hall. She attended master classes with Tamara Kordzadze, Konstantin Lifshitz, Karl-Andreas Kolly, Louise Hopkins, Tim Kliphuis, Volker Jacobsen, Jonnathan Sotckhammer, Jörg Widmann, Geroges Aperghis, Brigitte Fassbänder, German Toro-Pérez, Gabor Varga, Josef Breinl etc.
In addition to her solo career, she performs with various ensembles. Larisa also plays the organ, sings jazz/pop and teaches piano.
The board of trustees of the Rahn Kulturfonds meets twice a year and will consider all fully completed applications received.

The Rahn Kulturfonds supports requests regarding a contribution to the performance fees if:
- it is a project with or by Rahn Kulturfonds prize winners.
- it is a project with Rahn Kulturfonds scholarship holders.
The Rahn Kulturfonds supports its prize winners and scholarship holders during four years after receiving the award.
