Marta Sánchez Paz
Marta was born in Galicia (Spain) in 1995. She began her oboe studies at the Professional Conservatory of Music Xan Viaño in Spain at the age of eight with Marcos Galán, which she completed with distinction and a special prize.
Between 2013 and 2017 she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Hochschule für Musik in Basel under Professor Emanuel Abbühl. During this time, she was given the opportunity to work as a solo oboe in the orchestra with Heinz Holliger and to participate in a master class with Ferenc Rados.
Her musicianship she earned with collaborations with professional orchestras such as the Basel Symphony Orchestra, the Galicia Symphony Orchestra and tours such as the Musika Festival in Bilbao with conductor Andrew Litton. The oboist was invited to play with youth orchestras such as the Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra, the Swiss Youth Symphony Orchestra and the Galician Youth Symphony Orchestra.
Marta participated annually in the Interlaken Classics with the Zakhar Bron Festival Orchestra. In the summer of 2018, she was invited to tour with the Castilla y León Symphony Orchestra in Spain. One of her next projects will be the collaboration with the Orchestre de Chambre de Lausanne.
She has taken part in several master classes with Stefan Schilli, Juan Ferriol, Cristina Dominich, Casey Hill, David Villa, Albrecht Meyer, Omar Zoboli, David Walter, Dominic Wollenweber, Ivan Pedyomo and Alex Klain.
Currently Marta continues her master studies at the Haute École de Musique Lausanne with Professor Jean-Louis Capezzali.
The board of trustees of the Rahn Kulturfonds meets twice a year and will consider all fully completed applications received.

The Rahn Kulturfonds supports requests regarding a contribution to the performance fees if:
- it is a project with or by Rahn Kulturfonds prize winners.
- it is a project with Rahn Kulturfonds scholarship holders.
The Rahn Kulturfonds supports its prize winners and scholarship holders during four years after receiving the award.
