Witold Moniewski

Witold Moniewski was born in 1990 in Inowrocław (Poland) and graduated from the Feliks Nowowiejski Music Academy in Bydgoszcz (Poland) with Joanna Krempeć-Kaczor in 2010. This was followed by a Master’s degree in Performance Classics in 2013 and a solo performance with Professor Božo Paradžik at the Lucerne School of Music in 2014. He was awarded the Recognition Prize of the Edwin Fischer Competition (2012) and the 3rd Prize of the Rahn Musikpreis (2014). He has performed as a soloist with the Lucerne Symphony Orchestra (2014), the Lucerne Chamber Orchestra (2015) and the Ensemble Les Chambristes (2016), among others. As an orchestral musician he played with the Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich, the Orchestra La Scintilla of the Zurich Opera, the Salzburg Festival with Cecilia Bartoli, the Mahler Chamber Orchestra and as voice leader of the Bern Symphony Orchestra. Since September 1, 2013 he has been solo double bassist with Theater Orchester Biel Solothurn.
