Since 2011, the Rahn Kulturfonds has awarded over 100 monetary scholarships and also lends instruments – in the form of a scholarship – to outstanding young musicians.
Students enrolled at a Swiss music adademy and under 27 years old will present three works from different stylistic periods to a jury.
The expert jury is composed of renowned orchestra musicians and personalities from the classical music world. After hearing all candidates, it decides on the awarding of up to 10 scholarships per year. The scholarships range between CHF 4’000 and CHF 7’000 depending on performance.
The scholarship holders are registered in the online artist database of the Rahn Kulturfonds and are supported with concert performances for four years.
The next audition of the Rahn scholarships will take place on November 9, 2020. Deadline for registration is September 24, 2020.
