The Rahn Kulturfonds was founded to promote and award outstanding students of swiss music conservatoires and academies.
Rahn Musikpreis
Rahn Kulturfonds was founded over 45 years ago to reward and promote outstanding students of Swiss music academies. In that spirit, Rahn Kulturfonds holds the biennial competition Rahn Musikpreis, alternating between piano and string instruments.
An essential part of the prize is a performance as soloist with the Lucerne Symphony Orchestra in an established concert hall. The Rahn Concerts Continuo and Più provide the musicians with further platforms to present their development. In addition, Rahn Kulturfonds promotes the careers of its prize winners by arranging and financing further performances at renowned concerts.
