The Rahn Kulturfonds was founded to promote and award outstanding students of swiss music conservatoires and academies.
Rahn Kulturfonds has been running the Rahn Music Prize since 1976 to support students at Swiss music academies. The competition is held every two years, alternating between piano and string instruments. At the prize winners’ concert, the winners perform as soloists in the Great Hall of Tonhalle Zurich, accompanied by a renowned orchestra. In the following year, prize winners are given the opportunity to present themselves again at Rahn Concert Continuo and Rahn Kulturfonds also enables its prize winners to give further performances at renowned concerts.
