About us
Hans Konrad Rahn (1933-2009) founded the Rahn Music Prize competition for students of classical music at Swiss universities in 1976. In 2004, his daughter, Ana Patricia Rahn Erden, founded the Rahn Kulturfonds association at his request. Since then, the Rahn Kulturfonds has alternated between the Rahn Music Prize for piano and string instruments, awarded scholarships and loaned instruments and organized various concert series.

The board meets twice a year. It processes applications for concert appearances with the Rahn Kulturfonds prizewinners, approves scholarships and the allocation of loan instruments. RAHN AG makes the work of the Rahn Kulturfonds possible.
