The Rahn Kulturfonds was founded to promote and award outstanding students of swiss music conservatoires and academies.

The Rahn Kulturfonds

The Rahn Kulturfonds has been running the Rahn Musikpreis competition for more than 40 years with the aim of supporting students at Swiss music academies.

The biennial competition is open alternately to pianists and string musicians. Since 2011, the Rahn Kulturfonds provides scholarships once a year and loans instruments to outstanding music students.

Scholarship

Based on the candidate’s performance, a jury of four decides on granting a scholarship and its actual amount. The scholarships range from CHF 4’000 to 7’000 per scholar.

The next audition will take place in Zurich on November 9, 2020.
