Competition

The Rahn Music Prize competition is held every two years, alternating between piano and string instruments. Students of all nationalities at Swiss music academies are eligible to take part. The prizewinners receive substantial prizes and further support for four years in the form of concert appearances and the payment of fees.

COMPETITION

The Rahn Music Prize 2026 competition for violin, viola, cello and double bass took place in January at the ZKO House in Zurich. 40 candidates from all over the world presented themselves to the jury (names). Out of 10 finalists, 6 received a prize. The following prizewinners were honored.
