22 year old Alice Burla, called an “extraordinary talent” by the New York Times, is quickly becoming internationally recognized as a serious musician and very talented pianist. She was one of the youngest students ever accepted to The Juilliard School and has been awarded the 2013 American Prize and 1st prize at the Canadian National Music Competition, among other honors.
Alice has participated in major international festivals such as the Verbier Festival Academy, International Summer Academy Mozarteum, Encuentro de Música y Academia de Santander, Tel Hai International Piano Master Classes, Paderewski Piano Academy, Hamamatsu International Piano Academy, and International Piano Master Classes in Berlin, and has worked with renowned musicians such as Dmitri Alexeev, Gabor Tákacs – Nagy, Piotr Paleczny, Andrzej Jasinski, Claudio Martínez Mehner, Sergei Babayan, Ferenc Rados, and Tatiana Zelikman.
From 2013 – 2016, Alice Burla studied with world-renowned professor Dmitri Bashkirov at the Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía in Madrid. She is currently studying with Prof. Claudio Martínez Mehner at the Musik Akademie Basel in Basel.
The board of trustees of the Rahn Kulturfonds meets twice a year and will consider all fully completed applications received.

The Rahn Kulturfonds supports requests regarding a contribution to the performance fees if:
- it is a project with or by Rahn Kulturfonds prize winners.
- it is a project with Rahn Kulturfonds scholarship holders.
The Rahn Kulturfonds supports its prize winners and scholarship holders during four years after receiving the award.
